Documentation

Meet the team

Vichy Enchères has one of the most important private documentations specialized in musical instruments.

Physical and digital, the documentation includes tens of thousands of instrument sheets, reference works on instrument making, organology and instruments, monographs of luthiers and musicians, exhibition and sales catalogues, specialised periodicals or even dictionaries and archives.

An art historian who graduated from the Sorbonne Paris-IV and the École du Louvre, Cécile Alves Convert has been working with Vichy Enchères since 2020 as a library and archives officer and research assistant.

She helps to manage and expand the documentation collection, conducts research into lots and their provenance, and writes the articles published by Vichy Enchères. This research work draws on an extensive database and a wide range of documentary resources, as well as a vast network of institutions in France and abroad, enabling a deeper understanding and study of the works and instruments offered for sale.
